The IPRA Six-County Senior Olympics provides an opportunity for older adults to compete with their peers in an atmosphere of friendship and support, and to receive recognition for their efforts and achievements. The event is open to seniors of all ability levels, and hosts more than 30 events including golf, tennis, bowling, swimming, biking, track and field, horseshoes, bocce, volleyball and more.
All participants will receive a 2010 Senior Olympics T-shirt and medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each category. Registration forms and a detailed schedule are available by calling Teresa Grodsky at 847-692-3597. Senior Olympics is sponsored by Presbyterian Homes, Glenview Terrace Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, and Guardian Home Care and Hospice. The IPRA Board of Directors meets six to eight times per year to discuss the business of the Association. This meeting will feature presentations by the Strategic Planning Advisory Committee regarding recommendations for strategic direction for the Association. All BOD Business Meetings are open to the membership and members are encouraged to attend.
